Hatem Tawfik, Chief Commercial Officer of Cairo Solar, stated that the company is nearing completion of two solar power stations on 90th Street in New Cairo, with a total capacity of approximately 600 kilowatts.

In statements to Al-Mal, Tawfik explained that the cost of each station is around half a million Egyptian pounds. The first station has a capacity of approximately 40 kilowatts, while the second is 20 kilowatts. The stations have been built using photovoltaic cell technology, which converts solar energy into electricity using solar panels.

He also noted that the company aims to expand its business in the local market in the coming period. Cairo Solar uses solar panels imported from China.

Cairo Solar was established as a consortium that includes the Egyptian Consulting Engineers (ECG), chaired by Amr Alouba, EMC, a company specializing in electrical contracting projects, and Ramses Attia Holding Group.
